Glenda is a Zimbabwean feminist of the Shava Chiweshe Clan. She was born into the lineage of Vahera farmers, warriors, healers, story tellers, renowed for their proactive nature and brutal honesty. Their resilence shines through even in the face of adversity, emphasizing the significance of fostering supportive communities.
As an active member of the Zimbabwe Feminist Forum(ZFF) Coordinating Committee, Glenda played a role in the resurgance of the ZFF, being part of teams that organized both the ZFF and African Feminist Forum (AFF) Conferences. Driven by a passion for knowledge sharing she established a ground breaking mobile feminist library and actively co-hosts feminist gatherings at HopeAfrica.
Glenda's literary endevours include a fictional piece exploring queer identity dynamics, published by Brittle Paper and the creation of the booklet entitled "HerStory" in collaboration with the 2013 African Womens Development Fund (AWDF) and the HopeAfrica coaching program.
With eight years of experience in feminist, gender, organisational development and governance consultancy, Glenda's professional journey has been marked with a fervent committment to womens rights, social justice and equality. Her role has exposed her to diverse cultural backgrounds across Africa, fueling her passion for inclusive practices.
Armed with a Master’s in Public Policy and Governance from Africa University, Glenda delved into feminist approaches to policy influence, aiming to enhance decison making processes for the advancement of women’s lives. Her fervour lies in constructing feminist systems and structures within institutions, guided by community-led principles.
